Niche’s Apprenticeship Program: All You Need to Know
How our Pilates apprenticeship helps newly trained instructors gain experience, mentorship, and paid teaching hours.
The path to becoming a certified Pilates instructor can be long and demanding. Many Pilates instructor training programs focus heavily on coursework and certification, but leave new teachers wondering what comes next.
Niche’s Pilates apprenticeship program bridges that gap. Our program allows instructors to gain real teaching experience while completing their practicum—providing mentorship, structure, and the opportunity to earn income as you transition into professional teaching.
If you’ve completed your Pilates instructor training and are ready for the next step, read on to learn how the Niche apprenticeship works.
Why a Pilates Apprenticeship Matters for New Instructors
The Niche Apprenticeship Program was created to support newly trained instructors as they move from certification into real-world teaching.
Pilates instructors are known for their deep cueing and keen eye for alignment—skills that take time, practice, and mentorship to develop. While certification provides the technical foundation, becoming a confident instructor requires hands-on experience and guidance from seasoned teachers. (If you're curious what instructor training actually looks like, read our guide to a typical day in Niche’s instructor training program.)
Our apprenticeship offers the space to refine your teaching voice while strengthening the skills that make Pilates instruction so powerful. Apprentices also learn the Niche teaching approach, helping create a cohesive experience for clients while still honoring each instructor’s individual style.
