Pilates Instructor Training Success Stories | Careers After Certification
See where Pilates instructor training can take you. Niche graduates build careers, start businesses, and create flexible schedules nationwide.
Did you know that over half of our current Niche instructors completed their training in-house through Niche’s Instructor Training program? Since launching in 2021, Niche has helped individuals from all walks of life build full-time careers, meaningful side work, and everything in between. Here’s a glimpse at where some of our graduates are today:
Maddie Tran first came to Niche as a client, and soon felt called to pursue instructor training. After completing her certification and teaching part-time on weekends, she transitioned out of her previous day job and joined Niche as a full-time instructor. In 2025, she moved to New York City and continued her Pilates career. Shortly after arriving, Maddie received offers from every studio she applied to and now teaches at multiple studios across the city.
Camille Strain, a licensed Physical Therapist, completed her Niche Instructor Training in 2023 and taught at Niche before relocating to San Diego. After working with Pilates of San Diego, she went on to launch her own business. Camille is now the founder and owner of Physique Health Studio, where she integrates Pilates, physical therapy, and muscle recovery services.
Alona Orofina is another entrepreneur who completed her certification at Niche before opening Orofino Wellness Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. By combining her background as an Integrative Nutritionist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Alona has created a business that offers both Pilates classes and nutritional coaching. Today, her team spans two locations and includes twelve instructors—several of whom are also Niche graduates.
These stories are just a small snapshot of what’s possible through Pilates instructor training. And while some graduates choose to open their own businesses, many find fulfillment in flexible, sustainable careers that fit into their lives in a variety of ways.
Our own Niche instructors offer a closer look at that versatility:
Sabrina Sabino (Lead Instructor, Instructor Trainer, Education Coordinator) is a mom of two who transitioned to Niche full-time after retiring from a career as a professional ballet dancer.
Savannah Slack (Full-Time Instructor, Marketing & Programming Manager) began as a part-time instructor before blending her background in marketing and media with her passion for Pilates in a full-time role.
Julie Davis is a mom of four and a part-time professional dancer who values the flexibility of teaching at Niche—allowing her to take summers off and teach during the school year.
Caroline Belmont recently shifted from a full-time role at Niche to part-time instruction while expanding her work as an Associate Wellbeing Program Manager at On the Goga.
Many of our other NIT graduates—including Sarah Kim, Amber Hendrix, Laura Eugley, Melissa Partington, and Mackenzie Cherry—also balance family life and other careers alongside their roles as part-time instructors.
Whether your goal is to build a new career, supplement your current work, or create a schedule that supports your lifestyle, Niche Instructor Training is designed to meet you where you are—and help you grow from there.
