Niche Pilates Instructor Training: A Day in the Life

Interested in becoming a Pilates instructor but not sure what training actually looks like? At Niche, in-person training days are equal parts movement, learning, collaboration, and community. Here’s a peek at what a typical day might feel like.

7:00am

Wake up, get dressed, and fuel up—for a day that works both your body and your brain.

8:15am

Sneak in a Power Flow class before training officially begins. Many trainees love starting the day by moving, connecting, and getting into their bodies before diving into coursework.

9:15am

Grab a coffee at Blanchards and review notes from the last session. Maybe you chat with a fellow trainee or take a moment of solitude to set intentions for the day.

10:00am — Session 1
Interactive learning and discussion with your instructor trainer. Expect a hands-on approach that blends movement science, technique, and real-world teaching insights. Stay in your workout clothes—you’ll be learning from head to toe.

12:30pm

Lunch break! Grab something nearby (Nate’s Bagels or Susie’s Delicatessen are local favorites), or bring your own and relax in Niche’s courtyard with your fellow instructors-in-training.

1:00pm — Session 2

Apply what you learned in the morning. Participate in experiential learning, rotating through the roles of teacher, student, and observer—one of the most powerful ways to build confidence and clarity as an instructor.

4:00pm

Wind down by reviewing notes, practicing a few movements on your own to integrate the day’s concepts, or maybe hopping into another flow class

5:00pm

Feeling social? Head to happy hour at Jardin or dinner at Beauvine—both just across the street!
